Microfabrica is a manufacturing technology company with a process for creating precise micro-scale metal parts and functional mechanisms at the high volumes required for manufacturing.
They have been the leaders in this space for more than ten years — they invented the technology —and their team of highly trained design engineers do more than simply make small things: they solve the problems of integrating those parts into larger mechanisms and leverage their technology to solve real world problems.
The new site needed to reflect that desire to make a difference, and serve as an invitation to imagine the challenges one might tackle by thinking outside the bounds of traditional manufacturing techniques.

We want you to be intruiged.
Rather than going straight into a technical explanation of what it is they do, our aim is to get people to start thinking about the imact Microfabrica has, through its technologies, on the world at large. Deeper in the site, when the technology is explained, that's when everything clicks.
We tell a story, section by section, of their positive impact — on industries, on technology, on companies — and provide points of departure for more in-depth information.
We want to tell a story.
The top level pages of the site are designed more like magazine editorials than an information-dense brochure. It's a continuation of the deliberate pace of the home page, and a means to make engagement with this information more interesting and inspiring.
